SESSION is an explosive, open-air dance and live music event taking the UK by storm. A celebration of community, youth and belonging. This high-energy show is led by an ensemble of inner-city girls aged between 7 and 19 from award winning dance company STEPPAZ and is performed alongside live Afrobeat's band; Empire Sounds. Created in Tottenham, SESSION explores the idea of strength in community and delivers a raw and joyful example of teen spirit, resilience and positivity in the face of adversity. Gaining press attention for an urban youth show can be notoriously tricky. Aware of our reputation and previous successes with urban arts shows, we were asked by the team at LIFT Festival to handle PR for the UK mini tour that included several dates at The National Theatre.
